FOUNDATION SHIRT

Made from a double-weave typewriter fabric woven from extra-long-staple cotton. The fabric is characterized by a natural, silk-like luster and a smooth, supple hand.

The high-density weave provides exceptional durability and a distinctive crispness despite its lightweight construction. The double-weave structure creates a subtle weight and a softly cushioned texture with a sense of airiness that cannot be achieved with conventional single-layer typewriter fabric.

Despite its high density, the fabric remains supple rather than overly rigid, combining a refined resilience that resists deep creasing with an exceptionally smooth touch.

The brand’s original pattern features a generous silhouette, with the back body deliberately designed larger than the front. The back fabric wraps around the body, creating a minimal appearance from the front and a more voluminous expression from the back.

The front hem is finished with a clean, precise square cut, while the back hem features a gentle curved line. The contrasting front and back shapes create a sense of soft volume that follows the movement of the body.

All seams throughout the front body, back body, and yoke are finished with flat-felled seams, enhancing durability while maintaining a clean and refined interior.

The front features a concealed button placket for a clean, uninterrupted appearance. Two buttons are placed at each cuff, allowing the cuff width to be adjusted according to the fastening position.

The brand signature, “THE TRACE,” is embroidered at the back neckline.

Designed for the contemporary shirt wardrobe, where wearing a tie is no longer a necessity, the shirt features a stand collar. Combining comfort and functionality, the refined collar creates a clean, sophisticated neckline whether worn with or without a tie.
